The Federal OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen
Standardwas published in 1991. It was designed to reduce and
minimize the potential for occupational exposure to the Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the Hepatitis B Virus (HBV)
and other human bloodborne pathogens.
This training program is a direct result of the
requirements of this regulation.
